2025 FY SWITCH Annual General Meeting

  • All paid-up SWITCH Members are eligible to vote. Everybody is welcome to attend, but we are asking Members to register for the AGM in order to track quorum requirements

Please attend the 2026 SWITCH Annual General Meeting to close out the 2025 fiscal year and discuss potential changes to the structure of SWITCH. It will be held online and begins at 8:00am Friday, May 1, 2026. Information for joining the meeting by Zoom is below.

This AGM will provides SWITCH members with the opportunity to vote on by-law changes. There will also be reports from the SWITCH Executive, a presentation of the 2025 financial statements and discussion about potential changes to the structure of the organization.

Election of Board of Directors:

 According to the SWITCH by-laws, the SWITCH Board of Directors must consist of eight members with "at least two, but not more than four directors" elected under each of the following categories: 
  • Education/Research
  • Government/Utility
  • Private Business/Resident
At least one director elected under the category of:
  • Student
At least four new Director positions are thus available.  Three three-year Director positions were available, with one nomination application being received.  As such the following returning Board member has been acclaimed.

Darko Matovic - Education/Research

One application for the one-year Student position was received.  As such the following returning student Board member has been acclaimed.

Yanxi Lin - Queen’s University


Other important business from the AGM still requires members to vote.  This includes changes to the financial reporting of the organization, and a proposal to explore a restructuring of the organization.  These are important changes that members need to have a voice on.

Please attend the AGM or send your proxy vote (available on the AGM page) to info@switchontario.ca.  Your vote is needed for quorum for our elections to count!
