BWRX-300: A TECHNICAL DEEP DIVE
On April 4, 2025 Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission granted licence to Ontario Power Generatio. To learn more about this Small Modular Nuclear Reactor we will watch the video of the OPG presentation at the Oct. 2024 Public Hearing. Tom Lavrisa will give us opening remarks about the video, then will answer questions after the video.
TOM LAVRISA graduated elec
trical engineering in 1977 and focused most of his career on the design of telecommunications equipment. He helped regulate nuclear power plants at Point Lepreau and Pickering with CNSC from 2009 to 2016. Now retired, he enjoys working on his woodlot near Joyceville, where he plans to build his home.
